Craigieburn Angling Club
The Craigieburn Angling Club is affiliated with the Melbourne Angler’s Association Inc. and is a family friendly club with male, female and junior competitions. We hold around 12 competitions a year made up of freshwater, surf and bay comp. Included are weekend competitions at Lake Dartmouth, Metung and Lake Bullen Merri. There are both Female and Male club champions who receive a perpetual trophy, there are trophies for heaviest saltwater and freshwater fish caught. The winners of each competition receives a voucher, all trophies and vouchers are presented on presentation day which is held at the Craigieburn Bowls Club in June of each year. The clubs A.G.M. is held mid July each year. No boat no worries, not all members have boats. Monthly meetings are held the 1st Monday of each month except January when we do not hold a meeting. We currently meet at the Craigieburn Bowls Club, on Craigieburn Road, Craigieburn at 8-P.M. Anyone is welcome to come along and join us. Memberships is $50 per family Pensioners pay 50% of the appropriate fee for that year. When you become a member, your membership covers yourself, your spouse and any dependent child under eighteen years of age. If you enjoy your fishing and would like to learn new fishing skills while being in a competitive yet friendly atmosphere then give us a call. We offer you the opportunity to learn how to catch a fish. At some of our monthly meetings we have guest speakers and members who will show you the right way to target a particular species.
We also have fishing video nights, Family Days, Day trips and weekend competitions. The Craigieburn Angling Club is a family orientated non-profit organization.
